Kimi 3.0 sounds great, and if it’s anywhere near Opus 4.8 in performance, that could be a big game changer. I already love Kimi 2.7 for code via Ollama, and I’m just waiting on K3 to show up in my subscription. Open models, and Chinese open models especially, are getting more interesting and catching up fast. A year ago you basically had to pay for a frontier model to get work done. That’s less and less true, and it’s a great thing to watch.
