Here’s what our cloud hosts had to say about this week’s episode: 357: Cache Me If You Can – Now With Durability
Matthew Kohn
While I’ve always loved the idea of doing chaos engineering, few companies I’ve worked with give their engineering teams enough time and budget to do it properly. It can seem like a poor use of time, but as the cloud providers have expanded over the years, large regional outages have become less common while isolated outages are becoming more frequent. That shift is exactly why something like a fault injection tool should be set up and integrated into your staging environment; it’s far better to find an issue there than in prod.
